Hi All, I'm Tamas, and originally, I am from Hungary, but I have been living in the UK with my wife for 5 years now. I have just recently got my Indefinite Leave to Remain, meaning I have permanent settled status. Maybe next year, I will try and get the British Citizenship. Since I live in the UK, it's not too difficult to practice the language, but I work as a software developer, so most of my day I sit alone hitting random keys on my keyboard, and maybe spend 15-20 minutes actually talking to someone (not counting the time I spend doing gthe groceries, etc).

So yes, although I live in the UK, I don't have much opportunity to practice speaking English. Ah, yes. And I just became a father in March :)

Hello everyone! Here's Ernest, from València, Spain. I'm here because I want to improve my English and I'm following Aly's videos on Youtube months ago, more or less last September, when I started to learn and practice English for real.

I say for real because, although I had already studied English for years and years at school and at the university for years and years, at least here in Spain, they only teach industrial amounts of grammar that you forget before leaving class, and more industrial amounts of vocabulary that is almost never used in real practice and therefore quickly forgotten.

Just as an example, I have to say that I discovered the existence of the schwa, reductions, stressed words or intonation just last September...
